Surroundings

The Museum Quarter is the historical centre of the city of Utrecht. All the big museums of Utrecht can be found in the Museum Quarter: The National Museum ‘van Speelklok tot Pierement’, The Catharijneconvent Museum, the Dutch Railway Museum, University museum / Hortus Botanicus, Central Museum, Star watch Sonnenborgh and the Aboriginal Art Museum; all of these are at walking distance from each other.

The Museum Quarter of Utrecht offers, next to all the museums, hidden small estates, special shops and interesting galleries. To get to know this multi-purpose part of the city in a nice way, a city walk is a must. You can purchase various walking tours at the VVV Utrecht and the visitors centre RonDom. They take about an hour, and you will visit all the museums. The tours all have different themes.
